Core Beliefs
St. Matthew Christian Church's mission is based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. We believe that we exist to bring people into loving and growing relationships with Jesus Christ and others. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

Love God
(Worship)
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. We give reverence and honor to God in everything we do.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

Love Your Neighbors
(Ministry)
We believe that loving others is at the very heart of following Jesus. We seek to serve our community with compassion, humility, and purpose. Through this ministry, we use our God-given gifts and talents to meet the needs of others-whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.
"Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39)

Love the Lost
(Evangelism)
We believe every person matters deeply to God. That's why we are passionate about sharing the hope and truth of the gospel with those who don't know him yet. Evangelism isn't just about speaking the truth - it's about living it. Whether through conversations, acts of kindness, or intentional outreach, we aim to reflect Christ's word in both word and deed. We believe that the message of Jesus is good news for everyone.
"For the son of man came to seek out and to save the lost." (Luke 19:10)

Love Our Church Family
(Fellowship)
We seek to cultivate a community that fellowships by building meaningful, Christ-centered relationships that encourage, challenge, and uplift. Whether it's through small groups, shared meals, prayer gatherings, or simply doing life together, we believe church should feel like a home. In a world that often feels disconnected, we're committed to being a place where genuine connection and spiritual growth go hand in hand.
"A new commandment I give you: Love one another, as I have loved you. So, you must love one another."
(John 13:34)

(John 13:34)

Love to Learn
(Discipleship)
We believe that following Jesus means continually growing in our knowledge of Him and His Word. Discipleship is the journey of becoming more like Christ, and it begins with a love for learning. Through studying Scripture, prayer, and intentional relationships, we equip ourselves for daily Christian living.
